Star Kickboxing was established in 2005 as a family-run club to give opportunities to people to learn martial arts and achieve high fitness levels in a friendly atmosphere. Since then, Star Kickboxing has achieved 18 World Titles with students of various ages who all began with Star as novices, as well as many other regional, national and international titles. However, students do not need to want to compete to enjoy training with us.
Star Kickboxing went from strength to strength, attracting boxing students, and so Star Amateur Boxing Club was created in 2017 to focus specifically on their needs. Star A.B.C. is affiliated with the Amateur Boxing Alliance (ABA) and students regularly compete in fights at a regional and national level. Star A.B.C. students also compete in “white-collar” boxing and the Great Britain Boxing Union (GBBU) league. Competing is not a requirement to train with Star Boxing.
Star Kickboxing/Star A.B.C. is a family club, established and instructed by Paul Haworth, with his father Leigh, who both hold 5th Dan black belts in kickboxing. They are supported by a great team of instructors who you can learn about on the Instructors page here
